WellMend AS
A Norwegian intervention company, now field-proven.
Founded 2016. Headquartered in Sola, Norway. Privately held. Patented control-line access, developed with NORCE and Innovation Norway.
NanoCoil-enabled access is already deployed in live well environments — to diagnose, access, and remediate small-bore control-line systems without retrieving production tubing.
That is the foundation. The same access now enables chemical injection in existing wells, reaches restricted flow paths, and supports through-tubing abandonment. The opportunity is broader than a single control-line service: practical intervention and P&A options with a contained, lower-footprint approach.
Proof of concept in April 2018: a 250 m well sponsored by ConocoPhillips. System integration test at Ullrigg in 2023. Two successful offshore mobilisations with Equinor on Gullfaks in 2025. The unit is operational on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
A campaign team is four people. One needs wellhead certification; the rest are offshore generalists. One unit takes three months to produce.
